Job Description: Location: Richmond, VA / Contract.

Client’s ePMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) is looking for a dynamic individual to plan, direct and coordinate activities of a several programs ensuring that objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters.

Local candidates strongly preferred.
Must be available for face to face, NO skype, NO exceptions.

Skill Requirement:
  • BA / BS in Project Management practice or equivalent working experience required.

  • PMP certification required and a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Project Manager.

  • Previous experience managing multi-year enterprise programs strongly preferred.

  • Skills in MS Project Professional; MS Project Server preferred.

  • Previous experience with client-facing roles required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening skills.

  • Excellent ability to think and respond quickly and effectively to unfamiliar subjects or scenarios, including through asking relevant questions and conducting appropriate research.

  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent writing skills and adept at writing policies and procedures and adhering to style guides.

  • Effective ability to find pertinent information online or through other references.

  • Effective problem solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all layers of the organization.

  • Experience working in a mortgage or financial organization is preferred.

  • Adept at using multiple facilitation and inquiry methods and techniques when working with users and SME's in the business.

  • Inquisitive nature and demonstrated strength in collaborating with business users at all levels in the organization.

  • Proficiency in researching best practices/processes compared to industry.

  • The PM will manage their program and related projects by the defined “Iron Triangle” of the PM practice; Schedule, Scope and Cost.

  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in project planning, organizing, team motivation and delegation as well as budgeting and data analysis.

  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills along with demonstrated organizational skills, documentation skills and attention to detail.

  • The ability to manage others through teamwork is required.

  • Must possess understanding of, and experience with, related business and development processes.

  • The candidate should be goal/results oriented, self-directed and need minimal direction.

  • Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work with tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment.

  • Ideal candidate will have the ability to operate effectively in new environments and with new processes and to collaborate as a strong team member in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must possess the ability to quickly identify high-influence stakeholders and enlist their support.

  • Must possess strong conflict resolution skills.

  • Should be able to integrate information from multiple sources in order to anticipate issues and come up with solutions to resolve the problem.

  • Must possess strong skills in aggregating data into coherent recommendations for consideration by executive management, and the skill to drive management towards decisions.

  • The candidate should exhibit the capacity to influence individuals at all levels in different departments, including senior management.

  • A high degree of commitment, flexibility, self-motivation, self-confidence, assertiveness and high tolerance of ambiguity are required.
