Job Title: Lead Change Control Coordinator
Job Description: Location: Richmond, VA / 12+ Months Contract

Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure environment, including the development process, and key business area applications. Demonstrated ability to research, test, develop, and maintain change control standards and procedures. This role is fully competent at the highest technical level. Provide leadership, instruction, and direction. Monitor the work assignments of personnel in the work unit.

Local candidates strongly preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with various IT groups regarding change management practices and procedures.

  • Ability to identify and evaluate impact and risk, associated with change implementation, in a complex production IT environment.

  • Ability to work independently. "Compliance" mindset, with understanding of current policies and regulations affecting the Change, Code, and Problem management processes.

  • High degree of proficiency with Windows, Unix, Unicenter Service Desk, Service Now, CA Endevor, CCCHarvest, JCL, JCLPrep, and TSO/ISPF.

  • Monitor the daily workflow and processes of the work unit and ensure completion.

  • Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Serve as point of contact for the work unit, ensuring resolution to problems and customer requirements.

  • Represent the work unit in meetings with other departments and project teams.

  • Oversees the development, recommendation, and implementation of Change Management policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures, to manage hardware, software, and network changes in a diverse, multi-platform computing environment.

  • Oversee the development, recommendation, and implementation of robust Code Management solutions that comply with appropriate IT Risk Management policies across diverse, multi-platform computing environments.

  • Oversee the processes to recommend, implement, and maintain Problem Management technology and support for end users.

  • Advises on effectiveness of Change Management programs.

  • Consults with management and staff on implementation of change-related products and procedures.

  • Leads multiple, moderately-complex projects concurrently.

  • Maintains awareness of industry trends and changes in ITIL standards.

  • Responds to internal and external changes.

  • Recommends introduction of new procedures or tools into the existing environment, to meet compliance standards and business area needs.

  • Performs and leads critical Operational Readiness Reviews, which may include detailed assessment and evaluation of all major IT aspects of new applications or significant upgrades, prior to an application moving into a Production environment.

  • Supports several business units in multi-platform environments, on multiple project assignments.

  • Anticipates necessary changes in software applications and systems, using in-depth knowledge of each line of business.

  • Provides leadership, guidance, and advice to the work unit, on applying Change and Code Management policies, adhering to and implementing Compliance policies, Problem Management administration, and Infrastructure administration.

  • Errors may cause significant disruption to operations or major cost.
