Description:
  • Sechnology Services branch of the Division of Management is seeking a highly motivated and experienced technology professional for the Operational Technology team.

  • The selected person shall be responsible for installation patching, maintaining and supporting various software tools/systems used by departments such as Facility and Law-Enforcement.

  • The desired candidate shall have prior knowledge of systems, such as electronic security systems, video surveillance systems, and Building Automation system.

  • The candidate shall be proficient in Windows Administration Scripting, SQL Server Administration, Windows Server administration and maintaining windows desktops.

  • Highly preferred is a candidate who have had experience working with an independent Federal Agency, thorough knowledge of FISMA, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating system, and networking.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Physical security system and building automation support to meet service level agreements.

  • Information systems and applications used in the facility services, law enforcement, and emergency management and preparedness industries.

  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.

  • Resolve complex system issues for commercial applications, operating systems and networks, and triage customer support calls for Tier 2 / Tier 3 escalation service.

  • Troubleshoot system performance issues, implement corrective actions.

  • Perform server maintenance activities both hardware and software-related, including installations, network configurations, error log reviews, patches, integrity checks, system setups, etc.

Relevant Experience:
  • Must have 8+ year of experience administering Windows Servers in an enterprise (government-preferred) environment, with an understanding and ability to work within the environment constraints related to the agency.

  • Experience with Windows administration scripting and/or programming.

  • Strong working knowledge with enterprise technologies, to include the following:

  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Active Directory (AD), Windows Firewall, MS SQL, PKI.

  • Must have working knowledge of Windows 2012, 2016 and 2019 Server.

  • Must have 4+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.

  • Must have 2+ years with systems that use high availability architecture.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and project teams, assist with security requirements and design, determine deliverables, maintain issues logs, and provide project documentation, with minimal supervision.

  • Strong working knowledge of information security management, specifically the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and relevant standards from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

  • Familiarity with the Linux environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex commercial off the shelf software.

  • Experience with Physical Access Control Systems/Electronic Security Systems and Building Automation Systems preferred.

Place of Performance:
  • NOTE: During the COVID-19 pandemic, all Contractors will be teleworking full time until further notice. On-site at client locations, Washington, DC

  • Out of town candidates may work a 10 hour per day, four (4) days per week work schedule.

  • The local candidates shall work an eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week work schedule. In some situations, the candidates might be asked to work late hours and weekends.
