Job Title: SharePoint Designer/Developer
Job Description: Location: Washington, DC/ 12+ Months Contract

The client is seeking support to design and develop site templates and a training site in support of its training and knowledge management priorities. 
Our primary focus is on developing a reusable/scalable template that will help us expand our capabilities for delivering internal training requirements to the organization. The focus is being placed on configuration over development to minimize ongoing maintenance.

Local candidates strongly preferred.

  • The candidate shall possess the knowledge and skills for SharePoint Administrator/Developer role.

  • The candidate shall also demonstrate the below knowledge and experience.

  • Strong experience with website design best practices and techniques.

  • The candidate must have the ability to design our site templates to match the look and feel of existing siteswithin our organization.

  • Strong collaboration skills to effectively dialog with project stakeholders and customers on requirements and to provide recommendations.

  • The site pages should be built with modern functionality and designed with a clean, modern and appealing user-friendly look with an attractive mix of text, graphics, videos, animations, and more for visual impact

The Contractor shall:
  • The SharePoint Administrator/Developer shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:

  • Priority 1: Development of a site template for our Training and Knowledge Management extranet site.

  • Priority 2: Development of a new Training site within the aforementioned template.

  • Priority 3: Development of a new site template for Technology Services departments Other potential requirements/work may include.

  • Analyze the current SharePoint environment and create a solution to further optimization the system (e.g. workflows, Document libraries, collaboration etc.).

  • Design to modify the top and side navigation menu for a new site under the Branch subsite(s).

  • Provide comprehensive reporting capabilities that define the health of the system as well as any other information that administrators can/would use to actively manage the SharePoint sites and their components.
